When making bets, there will always be underdogs that make upsets, and outliers that make it even more difficult to pick every winner. With that in mind, ProFitX gives bettors the ability to minimize risk through the Sports Probability Platform.

ProFitX founder Josh Ebrahim recently gave his thoughts on outliers and why it’s so important to keep 

these factors in mind when making bets.

“An outlier can be from anywhere. They heavily impact the game. The Opportunity Model is built to detect those outliers,” said Ebrahim.

This model gives users the ability to see individual player projections into the future for points, assists, rebounds (offensive and defensive), blocks, steals and turnovers over multiple weeks. Not only is this model easy to use, but it’s also highly accurate.

“This gives you the ability to project what those outliers can be,” Ebrahim said. “We’ve validated the model and it’s 90% accurate on performance projections.”

The SPP’s matchup models are roughly 68% accurate pre-match and 70-90% accurate during play. This gives the user a singular output to consider which bees they even want to do a deeper dive on within the tool.

Ebrahim considers any team with more than a 60% chance of winning according to the model a great bet to make, but also likes to look at underdogs with at least a 40% chance of winning.

There’s a variety of factors that feed into the models, including home court advantage, winning and losing streaks, team synergy, injuries and more.

From there with the Opportunity Model, users can quickly see which players are healthy and injured, as well as provide insight into which players are projected to have a big night. There’s many top tier players around the league that can single-handedly win a game if they have an outstanding performance.

Furthermore, cross referencing these pre-match percentages against Vegas implied odds give users an edge on which underdogs might have value with a moneyline bet and what outlier factors could be overlooked by oddsmakers.
