While the ProFitX Sports Probability Platform (SPP) has proven to be extremely accurate as it relates to predicting winners of NBA games, the Athledex also allows users to gain key insight into the performance of individual players.

Within the Athledex, we project seven different categories for every player in the database. These projections go out as far as ten games, making fans smarter about what to expect from their favorite players as well as giving bettors valuable insight for winning player props.

As a case study for leveraging the Athledex to correctly predict player props, we took five player props from around the league on Nov. 15 and compared the Vegas odds to our projections.

Harrison Barnes (Sacramento Kings)

Vegas: O/U 12.5 points ProFitX: 14 points Insight: Take the OVER  Result: 16 points (Winner)

Devin Vassell (San Antonio Spurs)

Vegas: O/U 3.5 rebounds ProFitX: 3 rebounds Insight: Take the UNDER Result: 2 rebounds (Winner)

De’Aaron Fox (Sacramento Kings)

Vegas: O/U 5.5 assists ProFitX: 6 assists Insight: Take the OVER Result: X assists (Winner)

Ivica Zubac (LA Clippers)

Vegas: O/U 1.5 blocks ProFitX: 1 block Insight: Take the UNDER Result: 2 blocks (Loser)

John Wall (LA Clippers)

Vegas: O/U 0.5 steals ProFitX: 1 steal Insight: Take the OVER Result: 1 steal (Winner)

At the end of the night, the Athledex correctly predicted four of the five over/under picks. A bettor that put $100 on each of these five bets would have earned over $250 profit on the day.  Whether it’s predicting which team will win a matchup or the stats of individual players, ProFitX gives fans and bettors tools to gain the edge.
