From the View of an Athlete: The Value of ProFitX

Emerging as a must have industry tool over the past year, ProFitX is bridging the gap between the key stakeholders of the NBA. With its flagship tool, the Athledex, ProFitX has set out to democratize financial and performance data, making it transparent and helping all members of the NBA ecosystem.

What the Athledex is doing is bridging the gap between athletes, teams, agents, media and even fans.

Its expansive database houses 450+ active NBA players to provide critical insights and analysis into athlete performance and financial information. In the modern NBA, you must move quickly while also ensuring you’re making smart decisions. The data within Athledex has been back tested and continuously iterated on over the past few years.

It’s built by Joshua Ebrahim, a former NBA agent who truly knows what is going on in the space and identified a key gap in the decision making process.

“The first problem I had was that I didn’t have data that accurately reflected my clients’ valuation from a career perspective,” Ebrahim said in a recent interview. “The other problem that I had was during free agency, you make a lot of really quick decisions and I didn’t have this all-in-one technology with the insights I needed specifically to help my clients make the best decision possible. Those are the problems that I faced and ultimately what led me to set out and create ProFitX.”

While the Athledex can be used by teams, agents and athletes alike, the tool has really been gaining momentum with players.

One in particular has been Dallas Mavericks guard Spencer Dinwiddie, who saw enough value in what ProFitX has been doing to formally partner with the firm.

“I personally decided to link up with ProFitX, in part selfishly, because it’s designed to help maximize my career and understand some of my deficiencies so I can get better,” said Dinwiddie last year. “That’s what you always want to do as a player.”

As technology continues to become more advanced, finding an advantage over the competition is even more important. Partners of ProFitX have that edge as they leverage the solutions that have been put in place.

“In any partnership, being forward thinking and aligning with a company that shares that type of mentality, it was a match made in heaven,” said Dinwiddie.

As ProFitX continues to enhance the Athledex and its capabilities, the data gets more accurate and the available insights expand. Entering the new year, this will once again be a tool that makes waves in the industry as a must have solution.
